"Hi everyone, myself, being an african american, was surprised at how great their products are, so i'd like to spread the word. Now of course they don't have foundations for the more darker skin types, but the ones I need for matte reflecting makeup (double perfection liquid & compact) luckily just have mine. But for darker shades there is hope. chanel's newest foundation "Teint Innocence" has a variety.

"Thanks for the info.... Myself an african american, having a darker complexion, it hasn't been easy finding QUALITY make-up, esp. foundations in a variety of shades. I've tried all the big names in cosmetics and stuck to Origins, and M.A.C. Like any foundation, after you use it for a while, the effect of it isn't the same anymore. I've been looking for something new but like you said, lots of companies don't offer darker shades (hooray, they think black women are so beautiful they don't need makeup!!). But thanks for the tip, I'll be at my local Chanel counter soon!!

"Hi girls, I am hispanic skin type here which is also hard to find a good shade of foundation but I found a great company to share with you called Bee-Luscious cosmetics they are on line at beeroyalproducts.com they have the most phenomenal foundation I have ever tried and a couple of great shades for African American skin tones , my dearest friend I bough her a tube for her birthday and she loves it the shade I chose was the darkest and it gave her such a radiant glow full coverage yet so light, and the mineral based powders are so fun and truly beautiful, I wanted to share this alternative with you too... I love shopping from home or work =)

"Well make sure you ladies remember to try and then possibly purchase the "Teint Innocence" foundation from chanel, because thats the liquid foundation with more variety. Again, for darker skin tones, if your choice is chanel, you should go with: the bronze universel de chanel - sun illuminator concealor/foundation brilliance pur - sheer brilliance foundation makeup (mentioned the teint innocence - naturally luminous fluid makeup SPF 12) and with the lips, if your darker toned, i'd actually stick with glosses that are brighter but intense and lipsticks that are darker and more subtle. i'm not a makeup expert, but i'm only speaking from my experience with the colors of more expensive brands. there are some other good brands that you could get from sephora. I know for anyone with a medium brown skin tone range, as well as myself, bourjois paris, clinique, estee lauder, givenchy, and YSL all have a few brown tones. but this thread is specifically on chanel products,

"Being an avid cosumer of Chanel, and an African American woman, I have to inform you of a few sites I've found that may have ingredients that are linked to cancer, and may contain lead. "to star-n-a-shoebox, that was kind of you to post those links, although I don't use the lip conditioner by CHANEL, and I didn't know they made that product, i know they have liptreatment, thats probably the equivalent. I did review some of Iman's products at her website, they are quite elegant, Well I am dedicated to chanel, but i'll have to do some experminting with Iman products. Their hair products are attractive as well.
