Beautyflow.com trigancetwo"I'm looking for a one-stop shop for Asian-inspired fashion - clothing, accessories/handbags, jewelry, fragrance, cosmetics. Something more classy, upscale (maybe made in USA), but not necessarily high-end haute couture ($$$). Is anyone else interested in this? Any suggestions?

"I don't have a clue. Is your city large enough to have a "China Town" section? I've occasionally seen import type stores in the mall, but they usually only have a few items that look decent, and the rest are tacky and cheap looking. You might find an import store for accessories, and find material to have clothing made with. Go to your home page and search the web for "Asian apparel", there's lots of sites.

"Yeah, therein lies the problem. I live in Seattle where there is a pretty large Chinatown. I agree with you, though. Without trying to offend anyone at all, most of the items I have seen are cheap and tacky-looking. I'm sure there have got to be items that are sort of "fusion" - that are Western in cut, but that have an Asian appeal to them. The challenge is finding it. If it were a high-end store in an upscale shopping mall, that would be cool. I'm sure there would be a market for that sort of thing. Don't you think?

"Maybe you've hit on a great idea for a new line of apparel. Or find an (dare I say it) Asian tailor, and have a few pieces custom made. You could even have some jewlery commisioned or make your own. You might start a new trend.

Hmmmm....interesting idea. Question is: would anyone buy it? I wonder if I'm the only one who is interested in this sort of thing.

"I would, if it wasn't too expensive, and if they were items that were flattering, timeless, and would go with other things/styles. Not everyone can carry off the classic Asian fashions, but to me the simple lines are very elegant and sophisticated. I only have one dress that's even close to Asian. It's slim, mid-calf, short-sleeved, red dress with a semi-Mandarin collar. I wore it with some little fan-shaped earrings I'd had for years (they actually open and close), and a Asian patterned silk purse (technically it was a make up bag).
