Beautyflow.com Utah Momma"I got the anti-flat Hairapy, and it make my hair so soft that it doesn't give it the body I thought it would. I have used Paul Mitchell but it make my hair crunchy. Or is that just a fact of using volumizing shampoo? Any ideas?

"I recently changed to Hairapy Sunsilk anti-flat shampoo--says turns flat & blah into body & bounce and is made by Unilver. And it is safe for color treated hair. Is that the same shampoo you have Utah Momma? My hair is very short, I just shampoo with it, add mousse, finger dry, & I get lift I need. Sorry it didn't work for you. I've tried Pantene for "bounce" and my hair went flat. Guess goes back to every ones hair is different. Try Loreal Kids 2 in 1 bounce shampoo, I've used it with okay results.

"Utah Momma I don't use much mousse and what I do use is an inexpensive volumizing mousse. My hair is short with highlights. I apply mousse at the base of my hair, right @my scalp to add some lift and volume. Most of the time I finger comb and go. Some times I blow dry by "bending" my hair over a brush and "bend" it in direction I want it to go. LOL, can you tell I am NOT a hair stylist? Don't know what are correct words to use to explain what I mean.More mousse may not be answer for you. There are so many kinds of shampoo products to choose from. Aghhhh. Ask your stylist what they suggest--of course it may be what they sell in their shop. If your hair is long and fine, maybe you can try long layers.p.s. I mainly tried Hairapy because it was on sale @Target.

"I have long hair with layers. I am growing it out for a friend who has cancer and may need it for her wig. I have not been using any product so, I will try a little mouse. Have you tired Extra Body Daily boost from Paul Mitchell? It rocks. I just don't know how to use so much of it. Plus I hate getting up in the mornings! I am sorry to ask, but do you use the Bee Royal stuff?
LadyOL
""BIG, SEXY, HAIR" it comes in a red bottle, it is very inexpensive, try walgreens, and it does not have build up, but conditions and gives volume. In-between short and long is a pain. Best to you. (Should I say, BLess to you).

"Utah Mom, it's ok to ask. DH and I have used royal bee jelly and bee pollen. I ordered them through our local health food store and they ordered it from a beekeeper in Utah.We also take vitamins and other supplements; only those that complement any meds we currently take. And we do so with our Doctor's and Pharmacist's knowledge of them.
Utah Momma
A bee keeper here? Would you mind giving me the info? I would love to get some pollen. I am on thyroid meds and I want to stay natural as possible. Have you used the Royal Bee make-up?

"Jones Bee Company --I believe this is the place UtahMom. Looked it up online--Located Just Minutes From Downtown Salt Lake City Jones Bee Company has been supplying beekeeper's with all of their supplies for over 40 years. We also carry a wide variety of candle and soap making supplies Pure Honey, Pollen, Royal Jelly and Propolis for your Health and a wide variety of books and other gifts. DH and I have hay fever/grass/plant allergies. DH is allergic to bee stings. UtahMom People w/ cetain allergies may have a royal bee jelly or bee pollen allergic reaction. I Copy and pasted this: "People allergic to specific pollens have developed asthma, hives, and anaphylactic shock after ingesting pollen or royal jelly [5-12]. Neurologic and gastrointestinal reactions have also been reported [13,14]. Some cases of asthma and anaphylaxis have been fatal. The potential for serious reactions is widespread because at least 5% of Americans are allergic to ragweed pollen, and bee pollen contains pollen from ragweed or plants that cross-react with ragweed, such as dandelions, sunflowers, or chrysanthemums [15,16]. It has been speculated the presence of these allergens might enable regular users to become desensitized (as would happen with allergy shots). However, the odds of this happening are extremely small. Shots deliver the pollen in significant and controllable amounts, whereas bee pollen taken by mouth delivers unpredictable amounts that get digested." We started w/small dose & slowly increased. DH had no ill effects & he took both for about 6 months. He quit taking them after not noticing increase in energy. I am in menopause & hot flashes (plus unexplained dizziness) started again after 2+ months of taking both. Then my face broke out in acne, especially my forehead. I stopped bee pollen first and then royal jelly. Several weeks later my face finally cleared up and hot flashes are very rare now. Bees had said "it" was good for menopause symptoms & that was reason I tried it. I did not order from website they advertise. Before taking either of these, talk with your Pharmacist or Health Care Provider.
