"Models' "Glow"" > - Beauty and Fashion >
Beautyflow.com mynamesunavailable"Does anyone know what product is used on models in magazines and (and this is how I know it's not airbrushing, or not JUST airbrushing) on runways to make their skin glow like that?
Almond_roca
Probably a team of professional makeup artists. I heard that before a photo shoot or show hair and makeup can take upto 3-4 hours.

ditto Almond. Amazing makeup and fantastic lighting. Oh..and the fact that when they get made up they dont sweat or have a chance to get oily or do anything that would muss their face.
gommage
"On their face they use things like Sheer Brilliance by Chanel(other lines carry as well) It is sort of like a foundation, only you apply it to your cheekbones, nose and forehead for the lighting to hit in just the right places. It really does make you look glowy...It runs about $45, I think...

"What about that same glow for your body? Especially on the chest, arms, and legs?
BabyFree
"Nothing works quite as well as plain ol' unscented baby oil. It makes you look dewy, fresh, slimmer, and softer. Also, it makes you look a little tanner and evens out skin color. It takes only a little to cover your whole body and it costs next to nothing. Caution: it needs time to absorb, you will be sticky if you don't put it on right after a shower and give it a few minutes to sink in. Also, for heavens sake, don't put it on your face. Use some type of moisturizer that reflects light like Avon's Luminousity Cream.

I love my PepTox Radiance Serum by bee luscious my skin is brighter and just beautiful its well worth it. also have good results with their bronzers and mineral shimmering powders. It's a good site to get ideas and customer service is very helpful.
Swiss_Wife
Enough please with Bee Luscious.I use Olay regenerist serum and it's great. I heard Estee Lauder's idealist is also fantastic.
ParisLuv
"So sorry to contradict swiss wife but as a former MAC,Chanel and at times drug store consumer, BEE LUSCIOUS can not be compared with anything, it is very different and incredible truly. The PepTox Radiance did wonders for my skin, what I have seen is example Olay you spend 18 to 20 dollars and it works for the first couple of weeks then nothing and you use it up faster because the quality is not there to deliver what the ads say. Bee Luscious is more expensive than example an Olay but not as high as a Chanel or Estee Lauder, yet LESS IS MORE a little goes such a long way , sure you invest lets say 50.00 but it lasts 8-10 months so actually the savings is greater and Bee Luscious plus amazing results. I am sure if you got a sample you would understand the RAVE ! good luck though !
Utah Momma
Let me know about the Bee stuff! I have also tried a bronzer from Bobbi Brown with a REALLY fluffy brush. I am so fair that I look like a racoon if I don't do it right!

"Please stop, this is outright spam for your bee website & against MSN rules. I reported your post.
Swiss_Wife
"Thank you Axelas. ParisLuv, I have no issues with you contradicting me but I am still not going to try Bee Lucious because Olay regenerist has had rave reviews on several boards and nobody has heard about your stuff (and in no way, do I want to play guinea pig with an unknown brand)
PotatoeHill
Axelas Utah Mom asked for the link .... its not SPAM get over your issues live and let live Swiss Wife no one pointed a gun to make you buy something use what you want and let others use what they want ....
Swiss_Wife
"Totally, agreed nobody pointed a gun on my head but use it in peace and get off the boards...

"Hello, I model part time... the answer to your question is that almond-roca is correct. Come time for shoots and shows... make up takes very long. Make up takes up to 3 hrs if not more to "prefect" the look. Not to mention touch ups.. :)
MakeUpMaiden
"hi mynamesunavailable ...I believe it could be the product listed below, sold on QVC, but possibly sold on other cosmetic webpages as well, perhaps where you can use coupons.QVC Item Number A7319 - Dalton H2Glo Natural Glow Highlighter Cream. From the Demonstrations that I have seen, after finished applying total face makeup, you dab this H2Glo compact on parts of the face you want to be more dewy, like on the cheekbones, forehead. I once saw a video of Anna Nicole Smith walking down the runway, as a model in Lane Bryant fashion show, and she just GLOWED with dewy-ness, more than any other pics I've seen of her. I'll bet she used some product like the H2GLo cream listed above. HTH.
