"How to conceal a "lazy eye," a.k.a. PTOSIS?" > - Beauty and Fashion >

"I have had Ptsosis (drooping eyelid) since I was a baby. It's gotten more unnoticeable as I've aged, however, depending on the angle of my face, you can see it more prominently (especially in pictures). Does anyone have any make-up tricks I can use? Thanks.

"I don't know of any specific make up tricks, but you might go to a make up counter at a department store where they give little free make-overs. They could probably give you a few pointers. You might also try some of the firming/tightening gels just on your "lazy" eye area to help temporarily tighten the skin. It won't be a dramatic difference but every little bit helps. My daughter has one eye that "turns out" a little bit due to a vision problem with that eye, and it seems to be worse when she is tired, or at certain camera angles. For photos, practice with a friend helping you to find out what your most photogenic angles are and try to get the eyes focused in the same direction. You might also consider an asymmetrical hair cut/style, use side-swept bangs to help camouflage the droopy eye, or pull attention away from the eyes with darker lipstick, a prominent piece of jewelry, a hat, or scarf.
