"Graduation this weekend, help!" > - Beauty and Fashion >
Beautyflow.com SimpleSally"Well, as you may be able to tell from the title, I'm graduating soon, and I'm having serious issues. First, I'm not one who is prone to wear makeup, I actually hate it and don't think that I very well need to wear it every day. Unfortunately, for my Grad, I need to wear makeup, and I want to look beautiful. I'm having the same issue with my hair, I want to wear it up and want it to look amazing, but I don't know what to do with my very long hair. Most of the girls in my graduating class are going to salons and paying hundreds of dollars to make themselves up for grad. I don't have that kind of money, I work for everything that I have and have barely scraped enough together to afford the ceremony costs and my dress ($100.00 compared to most girls $500.00). I don't want to look stupid, and I want to be proud of the way I look. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thankyou.

"I know what you mean, some people seem to have infinite amounts of money and time to spend on clothes hair and makeup and it's annoying. If you don't usuallywear make-up try to avoid wearing TOO much for the occassion or you'll come off as trying to hard. If you want your makeup done by a professional a lot of cosmetics counters at department stores will apply makeup for free (just don't mention you're there to have it done for your grad). Go for something simple, classic and pretty with your hair. A wrapped pony-tail is always nice. or pull your hair back like you're putting it in a ponytail and twist it around instead. Secure it with some pretty chopsticks and a couple pins for added stability (you don't want it to fall out as you dance). If you really want a pretty up do I suggest a high bun that you leave a couple strands loose from at bottum of the pony tail and 1 strand at the front to frame your face. Make the bun sturdy. Curl the tendrils falling from the bottum of the bunand the one curling around your face. Use a light mist of spray before and after curling but don't overdo it a be all hard. Good luck! I hope your grad goes well and that you have fun and feel really pretty that night!!

P.S. I have hip legnth hair and all of these things have worked for me in the past!
time well wasted
Go into a sears or the bay somewhere that sells designer make up like MAC pretend u just got a huge paycheck and u think its time to get new makeup. they will be all too happy to help you and put the make up on for u so u can see how good u will look when u buy all this stuff (which u wont!)If u want ur hair up u can try and find a friend or someone who can help. or some salons will do up dos for like 25$. if not go get ur hair cut that day and they will blow dry it nicely for you. SOme of my friends have already graduated this spring (mostly private schools) and it seems like most of the girls (and the type who have $$$ to get whatever they wanted done to their hair) have gone with simple upsweeps and many had hteir hair down and straigghtened. Less is more. find a friend or relative who wear make up day-to-day have them put it on for you.haha if u can be realy careful with the dress and retun it after grad!
